Los Angeles has it all:
Little Ethiopia, Koreantown, Little Armenia, Chinatown, Little Tokyo.
Little Paris?
Not officially. But there is a stretch of street on my block that holds a French restaurant, bakery, wine boutique and a beautiful French antique store. This is my Little Paris. The best part? It is walking distance from my own pied-à-terre!
To say I am obsessed with the cafes that line the streets of Paris with the ubiquitous bistro chairs woven in shades of crimson, navy, and marigold – would be an understatement. When I was in Paris, all I wanted to do was to sit and have un café as I imagined Simone de Beauvoir, Earnest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein years (and many cups of café) before me doing as the Parisians do: Enjoying life!
To really set me in the spirit of France are my new Dior SoReal shades from Nordstrom. They come in an array of colors, but I settled on the tortoise and silver. A modern update to my classic Ray-Ban Clubmasters.
Add in my Tommy Hilfiger sweater and my go-to staple, navy chinos. Throw on classic Jack Purcell sneaks, and hit the streets!
Au Revoir,
T
