Ty Severe was born and raised in Utah, minutes from the ski slopes of Sundance Mountain Resort. He begun his career in the hallowed halls of Nordstrom and had his hand in every department from makeup to menswear. Starting with MAC cosmetics as a senior artist, he received accolades for pushing artistic boundaries. He left Utah for Los Angeles to open Collectors and Couture, striking up a high fashion designer clientele. An offer to manage menswear took Ty back to Utah where he partnered with buyers to turn the department to a thriving hot spot. He relished working with celebrity clients visiting the ski town, which prompted him to head back to LA. There, he led visual merchandising for the designer division at the Grove and worked closely with prominent celebrities organizing product launches, exclusive events, and private parties.
After a decade with the exemplary company, Ty continues to freelance and partner with Nordstrom for special events.
Dedicating his talent to his work, Ty has added the role of VIP Stylist for the iconic brand Tommy Hilfiger. During his reign, Ty styled red carpet looks for James Marsden, Tony Hale, James Van Der Beek, Tony Goldwyn, Stephen Amell, Bill Hader, Peter Faceneli, Gabriel Mann, Josh Bowman, Jamie Alexander, and Britt Robertson, among others.
Recently, Ty has delved into the film scene. Becoming Artistic Director for the film “The Emissary,” starring Emmy-winning actress Margo Martindale, has been a triumphant highlight in his career.
Ty lives in Los Angeles with his cliché chihuahua, Naomi.
